Steph and I have all these songs that are like, our relationship songs. Sometimes, she says it's her singing to me in the song, or the sentiment in a song is just so...us. But this one, "Flaws and All" by Beyonce is all me singing to her. (Why are Beyonce and Jay-Z our celebrity couple parallel? From "Bonnie & Clyde '03 until now, that's all us. It's weird.)

What albums are in heavy rotation for you right now?
Naming albums is rough. Songs would be easier. But, right now, Cassandra Wilson's Thunderbird is back in rotation for me. I'm also back to old standards like Res' How I Do and Everything But The Girl's Walking Wounded. What list would be complete without Tori Amos? Right now, it's a cocktail of Little Earthquakes, Boys for Pele, and From the Choirgirl Hotel.
"Deja Vu" by Beyonce is my new song. What is it with Beyonce songs? I sometimes don't like them at first, then they grow on me and next thing, it's my ringtone and I'm singing it all over the place.
I am sitting here listening to a Joni Mitchell CD that my father bought me as a gift years ago. I appreciate it more now that I'm older. I used to think Joni was too folksy for me. Sometimes, she still is, but I like her more. And listening to her makes me think of my dad.
